Morning,

Let me share a story about one of the most interesting companies in artificial intelligence.

It all started in 2020.

A man named Dario Amodei was leading AI research at a company called OpenAI.

Together with his sister Daniela and several colleagues, he was working on something extraordinary.

Artificial intelligence that could understand language, solve problems, and eventually perform tasks that previously required human intelligence.

But they were increasingly concerned about something.

**What if AI becomes more powerful than our ability to control it?**

They believed that developing powerful AI wasn't enough.

It also needed to be safe, reliable, and understandable.

So they made a pretty bold decision.

They left OpenAI.

In 2021, the siblings and five colleagues founded a new company.

They called it Anthropic.

Their ambition was simple.

**Build powerful AI that people can actually trust.**

They spent the following years developing their own AI models.

And in March 2023, they introduced a chatbot called Claude.

Just like ChatGPT, you could simply talk to it.

Ask questions. Write emails. Analyze documents. Solve problems.

But Anthropic wanted to put particular emphasis on making AI helpful, honest, and harmless.

Today, Anthropic is one of the leading companies developing advanced AI.

And Claude has become a major competitor to ChatGPT.

What's interesting is that both companies share similar roots.

But they have different approaches to building the future.

And that's probably a good thing.

Because when technology becomes this powerful,
**how we build it matters just as much as what we build.**

One story a day.
One minute to read.
One step ahead.

Happy you're part of the journey.

Talk soon,

Deaisy
